We believe in unique ideas, but as a rule, many of them have already been implemented, perhaps even in your community. Study the situation to find out what problems and how have been solved in your community. The results should be reflected in the application section “Project Implementation Plan”.


You rely only on yourself and your team in the project implementation

We support projects that involve all stakeholders at all project stages. Steady, positive changes are possible where the residents themselves participate on the changes for the common good.


Your project involves community resources for its implementation

We support projects that involve maximum available local resources, including engaging supporters, local authorities, business, volunteers, etc. The share of local resources should be reflected in the application section “Project Implementation Plan”.


Your project aims at public benefit

We do not support initiatives aimed at obtaining commercial profit; fighting for political power; taking part in electoral processes including nomination and recall of deputies; propaganda for political groups or politician; extremism in any form; propaganda for violence and brutality or kindling of hostility between separate social, religious, racial, political, and other groups.

We consider each project individually. There is a number of activities that are not supported by CMDF if they are the key activities in the project:

  • Online-projects if they do not lead to activities in real life;
  • Organization of actions abroad;
  • Book publication and translation;
  • Movie shooting and audio recording;
  • Conducting researches and scientific activities;
  • Organization of public protests;
  • Acquisition or reconstruction of buildings or other real estate;
  • For profit projects;
  • Equipment purchase;
  • Sponsorship and charity activities.
